Semrush Local puts listings on the higher tiers and meters rank tracking with credits. 15 alternatives compared, with sources.

Semrush publishes its Local pricing, though the page shows annual rates by default. The figures below are its own. Checked August 2026.

Short answer

Semrush Local makes most sense if you already pay for Semrush. If you do not, you are buying into a much larger account model to get a local toolset. The two things people run into are that listing management sits on the higher tiers, and that map rank tracking is metered with monthly credits, so heavy scanning costs more than the headline price suggests.

Why businesses look for Semrush Local alternatives

  1. Listings on the higher tiers

Base at $30 per location does not include listing management. It arrives further up the range.

  2. Rank tracking runs on credits

Map Rank Tracker credits are capped per tier. Scan more often or across more points and you hit the ceiling.

  3. It assumes you want Semrush

The value case rests on already using the wider platform. On its own it is a local tool priced like part of something bigger.

  4. Per location, per tier

Multi location businesses buy a plan for each location, so the tier you pick multiplies across the portfolio.

What Semrush Local is genuinely good at

If your team already lives in Semrush, Local is a sensible bolt on and the map tracker is easier to operate than most dedicated grid tools.

  • Sits inside a toolset a lot of marketers already have open.
  • Listing management and review tools on the higher tiers.
  • Map rank tracking included as credits.

If those are the things you need most, Semrush Local may well be the right answer and you can stop reading here.

1

Local SEO Tool

This is us
Price
$16 at 1 location, flat $37 for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8
Trial
Three day free trial
Terms
No contract, cancel any month
Where it wins
  • All 42 tools on the single plan. Nothing sits behind a higher tier.
  • Priced per location only. Adding your team costs nothing.
  • Starts at one location, with no minimum location count.
Where it does not
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Everything sits on one plan here, so listings, reviews and rank tracking never split across a Base and a Pro line, and your whole team is included at no extra charge. One location is $16, two to seven is a flat $37. We do not replace core Semrush for keyword research or backlinks, though.

2

BrightLocal

Price
Track $39, Manage $49, Grow $59 per location per month
Trial
14 day free trial, no card required
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 26 percent
Where it wins
  • Long established, widely used, and a lot of people already know how it works.
  • A genuine free trial with no card, which most of this category does not offer.
  • Strong citation and audit tooling.
Where it does not
  • Features are split across tiers. Listings sync starts at Manage and review management only arrives on Grow.
  • That means the tools most local businesses actually want tend to sit on the most expensive plan.
  • Cost climbs with location count. Grow at 50 locations is listed at $449 a month.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. BrightLocal splits features exactly the way Semrush does. Listings sync starts at Manage for $49 and review management only arrives on Grow at $59, so the tier wall you are escaping is rebuilt here at a similar price. The 14 day trial needs no card, which beats seven days with one.

3

Local Falcon

Price
Credit packages from about $25 to $200 a month
Trial
Credit based, so you can start small
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • The geo grid reporting is excellent and it is what they focus on entirely.
  • Credits mean you can start very cheaply if you scan occasionally.
Where it does not
  • Grid tracking only. No profile management, no review workflow, no listings.
  • Credits mean the cost scales with how much you scan, which is hard to budget when scanning grows.
  • You will need other tools alongside it to do the rest of the job.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Credits are exactly what you are leaving, where extra Semrush scans run $5 per thousand. Local Falcon is credit priced too, roughly $25 to $200 a month. The difference is that the grid is the entire product here and it is genuinely excellent. Nothing else comes with it.

4

Whitespark

Price
Rank tracker from $25 a month. Reputation from $79. Managed GBP service $497 a month
Trial
Varies by product
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Genuinely good at citations, which is what they are known for.
  • The rank tracker is inexpensive and covers unlimited domains and locations.
  • Real local SEO expertise behind the products.
Where it does not
  • Separate subscriptions rather than one login, so costs and logins add up as you add jobs.
  • No single place where rank, reviews and profile health sit together.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Whitespark sells single jobs rather than a platform account, so nothing you buy drags a wider subscription behind it. Its strength is citation building itself, which matters because Semrush's own cancellation documentation says listings drift back to publisher data once you stop paying. Expect separate logins and separate bills per job.

5

Moz Local

Price
Lite $20, Preferred $30, Elite $40 per location per month
Trial
No open ended free tier
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 25 percent
Where it wins
  • Simple, cheap and good at the one thing it does.
  • A trusted name with a long history in SEO.
Where it does not
  • Listings focused. It is not a rank tracker, a review workflow or a reporting suite.
  • Extra data aggregators cost more on top, and are limited to the higher tiers.
  • You will usually end up buying something else alongside it.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. If Listing Management was the only reason you were going to pay $60, Moz Local does citations from $20 a month and Preferred is $30. You lose the map grid and the review workflow entirely, and extra data aggregators cost $4 each on the two upper tiers.

6

SearchAtlas

Price
Starter $99, Growth $199, Pro $399, Agency $999 a month
Trial
Seven days
Terms
Month to month
Where it wins
  • Covers general SEO as well as local, so it replaces more than one tool.
  • Seats and projects included rather than charged per location.
Where it does not
  • Priced by seats and projects, so a multi location local job is not what the pricing is shaped around.
  • Local is one part of a much wider product, and depth varies.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. SearchAtlas answers the core Semrush problem directly. Site audit, keywords, backlinks and GBP work sit in one $99 subscription, so you get the platform without a $139 core Semrush plan underneath it. Starter covers one site and one seat though, so it only wins if you were buying both products.

7

Uberall

Price
Not published. Quote on request
Trial
No free trial
Terms
Annual agreements
Where it wins
  • Built for large portfolios and wide publisher networks.
  • Strong on listings distribution across many directories at once.
Where it does not
  • A 25 location minimum, so smaller businesses and growing chains cannot buy it at all.
  • No published pricing and no free trial, so evaluating it means booking a sales call first.
  • Add ons for posting, local pages and messages sit outside the base packages.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Uberall will not sell to you at all below 25 locations, and there is no published price and no trial, so evaluation starts with a sales call and an annual agreement. You left a seven day card trial. This is the opposite direction on every one of those points.

8

Birdeye

Price
Not published. Reported at $299 to $449 per location per month
Trial
30 days, but on single modules only, not the platform
Terms
Annual, and it auto renews unless you give 90 days written notice
Where it wins
  • Deep review and messaging feature set, and it is well regarded by the businesses that use it.
  • Wide integration list into CRM and practice management systems.
Where it does not
  • Reported onboarding fees of $500 to $1,500 per location before the platform sends a single review request.
  • A 12 month auto renewing contract with 90 days written notice to cancel.
  • Integration fees of $500 to $2,000 reported for connecting a CRM or POS.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Reviews were probably the feature you would have paid $60 for. Birdeye's review depth spans 200 plus sites and beats everything here, but it is reported at $299 to $449 per location, and its own terms auto renew for a full term unless you give 90 days written notice.

9

Yext

Price
Self serve $199 to $999 per location per year. Larger deals quoted
Trial
No self serve trial on the enterprise path
Terms
Annual billing only, typically 12 or 24 month minimum commitments
Where it wins
  • The widest publisher network in the category.
  • Built for large, complex portfolios with governance requirements.
Where it does not
  • Annual billing only, with 12 to 24 month minimum commitments.
  • Mid market deployments are commonly quoted in the tens of thousands per year.
  • You are largely paying for listings distribution. Rank tracking and review workflow are a different shape of product.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Yext's entry tier runs $199 per location per year, which is less than a year of Semrush Pro, and its publisher network is wider than the 70 plus directories Pro reaches. The catch is shape. Billing is annual only with 12 to 24 month minimums, and rank tracking is a separate kind of product.

10

Synup

Price
Solo $49 for one location, Premium $299 to 10, Pro $499 to 25, Scale $899 to 50
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly, or annual at 20 percent off
Where it wins
  • Built with agencies in mind rather than retrofitted for them.
  • Listings distribution and reputation in one place.
Where it does not
  • Two costs rather than one. A base plan and the band your location count falls into on top.
  • The real monthly figure is hard to work out until you know your location count.
  • Demo led rather than something you can just try.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Synup gates almost nothing by tier. Every feature is on every plan apart from white labeling, and the band only changes capacity, which answers Base versus Pro directly. Watch the bands. Solo covers exactly one location at $49, and a second location jumps the bill to $299.

11

Localo

Price
Single Business $49 a month, or $39 billed annually. Pro $169, or $149 annually
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, no minimum term
Where it wins
  • Simple and quick to get going with.
  • Priced for a single location rather than an portfolio.
  • Free tools you can try in a browser.
Where it does not
  • Built around a small number of locations, so it stretches at scale.
  • Not the tool for an agency running dozens of client portfolios.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. At one location Localo is a flat $49 monthly, or $39 billed annually, with adjustable geo grid tracking included in the plan. The trial runs 14 days with no card, against your seven with one. The problem is location two. The next plan up is $149 annually, $169 monthly.

12

Local Viking

Price
Single $39, Starter $59, Pro $99, Agency $149, Enterprise $200 a month by listing count
Trial
No free trial advertised
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Geo grid tracking and GBP posting together at a low price.
  • White label reporting on the higher tiers.
  • Straightforward pricing by listing count.
Where it does not
  • Credits for keywords and grid scans cap how much you can actually run.
  • No free tier, so you commit before you try it.
  • Narrower than a full local SEO platform.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Ten GBP listings cost $59 a month here, where ten locations on Local Pro cost $600. That gap is real if posting and grid scanning is all you do. There is no citation building at all, no free trial, and keyword and grid credits still cap your scanning.

13

Local Dominator

Price
Lite $39, Advance $59, Pro $97, Powerhouse $197, Enterprise $399 a month, credit metered
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual
Where it wins
  • White label reporting on every tier, which most competitors reserve for higher plans.
  • Low entry price.
Where it does not
  • Credit based, so the sticker price is not what heavy scanning actually costs.
  • Add ons on top. An AI tracker at about $49 per site and a citations builder at about $35 per location.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Citations are an add on here at $35 a month on top of the $39 Lite plan, so the listings piece you were upgrading for lands you back above $60 at one location. What you gain is unlimited keyword tracking and AI visibility monitoring on every paid tier.

14

GMBapi

Price
$16 per location at one location, falling to $4.50 each at 201 and above
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period
Where it wins
  • Genuinely cheap per location at scale.
  • A two week free trial and a free version.
  • Setup and support included.
Where it does not
  • Focused on GBP management and reporting rather than the whole local SEO job.
  • Pricing is built around large portfolios, so the value case is weaker at a handful of locations.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Semrush charges $20 per extra user on its Local pricing page. GMBapi includes unlimited users at no cost and starts at $16 per location, falling to $4.50 at 201 and above. Two catches. Citations add $30 per location at small scale, and cancellation only opens after month three, with notice.

15

RightChoice.AI

Price
Solo $20 and Business $30 a month. Agency is $6 per profile
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, two months free on annual
Where it wins
  • AI led approach to local SEO and profile work.
  • Newer product, so it is built around how search works now.
Where it does not
  • No published pricing at the time of writing, so comparing cost means asking.
  • Less independent review history than the established names.

If you are leaving Semrush Local. Price is the headline. Solo is $20 monthly and the agency rate is $6 per profile, with geo grid scans in the base plan instead of credits. But syndication is advertised as Bing and 20 plus directories, so the 70 plus network you were paying Pro for does not come with you.

Where GMBAudit fits, and where it does not

Paying for a suite to reach a module, then paying again per user, is how a thirty dollar tool becomes a three hundred dollar line item.

So it is one plan with all 42 tools on it and no feature held back for a higher tier. One location is $16 a month, two to seven locations is a flat $37 however many you add inside that range, and from eight it is $5.33 each. Three day free trial, no card, no contract.

For the jobs people are usually comparing here, that means grid rank tracking, local keyword research and citation building and cleanup sit on the same plan, rather than across three subscriptions or three tiers.

Where it is not the answer
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

Four questions worth asking before you switch

Question one is doing the heavy lifting here, since listings and reviews sit a tier above the price most people quote. Our own answers are on the pricing page.

  1. What is on the plan you can actually afford?

Not what is on the website. Open the pricing page and check which tier holds the feature you are buying this for. In this category it is often not the entry one.

  2. What is the minimum, and the notice period?

A minimum location count decides whether you can buy at all. A notice period decides how long a bad decision lasts.

  3. Can you try it before you commit?

A trial answers the only question that matters, which is whether your team will use it after month two. A demo does not.

  4. What will it cost at the size you are growing into?

Per location pricing compounds. Work out the figure at double your current locations before you sign anything.

Semrush Local questions

How much is Semrush Local?

Base is $30, Essentials is $50 and Pro is $60 per location per month. For multiple locations you buy a plan per location.

Does Semrush Local include listing management?

On the higher tiers. The entry plan focuses on Google Business Profile management and posting.

What are Map Rank Tracker credits?

Rank scans are metered. Each tier includes a monthly allowance, so how often and how widely you scan is capped by the plan rather than unlimited.

Is it worth it if I already use Semrush?

That is the strongest case for it. Everything sits in an account your team already opens, which is worth real money in adoption terms.

What is a cheaper Semrush Local alternative?

Local SEO Tool at $5.33 per location per month includes rank tracking, listings, reviews and reporting on the one plan with no credit metering.

All 42 tools. One plan. No contract.
