What this tool does
Your details sit in more places than you remember. Directories, old listings, a supplier page, a sponsorship from four years ago. Every time something changed, most of them did not change with it.
The problem is not that any single old listing matters much. It is that when the same business appears with three different phone numbers, everything about it becomes slightly less certain, including to the people who find it.
How to use it
Enter your current, correct details. Decide the right version before checking.
Run the check to find where the details differ.
Fix the highest traffic listings first, not the longest list.
Recheck after a few weeks. Some sources copy from each other.
Worth knowing
Inconsistent details are one of the most common findings in any local audit and one of the least interesting to fix, which is exactly why they persist for years.
Questions
Does an old listing really hurt?
One rarely matters. A pattern of disagreement across many does, and it also sends real customers to a dead number.
Which should I fix first?
The ones people actually use. A busy directory matters more than a dormant one, whatever the list order says.
What about a suite number?
Keep it identical everywhere, including whether it is written Suite or Ste. Consistency matters more than which form you pick.
