15 Best Local Falcon Alternatives

Local Falcon does grid scanning brilliantly and nothing else. 15 alternatives compared on price, trial and contract.

Local Falcon sells credits rather than a flat monthly seat, so its figure below is a package range. Checked August 2026.

Short answer

Local Falcon is very good at the one thing it does. People look for alternatives for two reasons. The credit model makes cost hard to predict once scanning grows, and it only does grid tracking, so profile management, reviews and listings all need buying separately.

Why businesses look for Local Falcon alternatives

  1. Credits make budgeting hard

Packages run from about $25 to $200 a month. Cost scales with how much you scan, which is exactly the thing that grows as you add locations and keywords.

  2. Grid tracking only

No profile management, no review workflow, no listings. It measures, it does not manage.

  3. You need other tools alongside

Most people running Local Falcon are also paying for something else, which is two subscriptions for one job.

  4. Measurement without action

A red patch on a grid tells you where you are weak. Fixing it happens in a different product.

What Local Falcon is genuinely good at

Local Falcon does one thing and does it better than most. If a geo grid is genuinely all you need, it is the right answer and this article is not for you.

  • The geo grid reporting is excellent and it is what they focus on entirely.
  • Credits mean you can start very cheaply if you scan occasionally.

If those are the things you need most, Local Falcon may well be the right answer and you can stop reading here.

Local Falcon is the odd row here. Credits do not translate cleanly into a monthly figure, so read its number as a package range.

Ordered by how much each adds on top of rank tracking, since that is the gap people leave Local Falcon to fill.

1

Local SEO Tool

This is us
Price
$16 at 1 location, flat $37 for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8
Trial
Three day free trial
Terms
No contract, cancel any month
Where it wins
  • All 42 tools on the single plan. Nothing sits behind a higher tier.
  • Priced per location only. Adding your team costs nothing.
  • Starts at one location, with no minimum location count.
Where it does not
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Our answer to the credit meter is a flat bill: $16 at one location, a flat $37 for two to seven, and $5.33 each from eight, with all 42 tools on the one plan. Honest caveat. If grid depth is genuinely all you need, Local Falcon does that one job better than we do.

2

Local Viking

Price
Single $39, Starter $59, Pro $99, Agency $149, Enterprise $200 a month by listing count
Trial
No free trial advertised
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Geo grid tracking and GBP posting together at a low price.
  • White label reporting on the higher tiers.
  • Straightforward pricing by listing count.
Where it does not
  • Credits for keywords and grid scans cap how much you can actually run.
  • No free tier, so you commit before you try it.
  • Narrower than a full local SEO platform.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Local Viking adds the GBP posting and profile management Local Falcon never had, and its grid keeps historical archives and a timelapse replay. Two catches for you. Scans still run on GeoGrid credits, so the meter is back, and no free trial is advertised, so testing it costs a month at $39.

3

BrightLocal

Price
Track $39, Manage $49, Grow $59 per location per month
Trial
14 day free trial, no card required
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 26 percent
Where it wins
  • Long established, widely used, and a lot of people already know how it works.
  • A genuine free trial with no card, which most of this category does not offer.
  • Strong citation and audit tooling.
Where it does not
  • Features are split across tiers. Listings sync starts at Manage and review management only arrives on Grow.
  • That means the tools most local businesses actually want tend to sit on the most expensive plan.
  • Cost climbs with location count. Grow at 50 locations is listed at $449 a month.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. BrightLocal fixes the budgeting problem immediately. Track at $39 per location is a flat monthly number with no credits to run down, and the 14 day trial needs no card. The catch is the second half of your reason for leaving: listings sync starts at Manage and review management only arrives on Grow at $59.

4

Local Dominator

Price
Lite $39, Advance $59, Pro $97, Powerhouse $197, Enterprise $399 a month, credit metered
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual
Where it wins
  • White label reporting on every tier, which most competitors reserve for higher plans.
  • Low entry price.
Where it does not
  • Credit based, so the sticker price is not what heavy scanning actually costs.
  • Add ons on top. An AI tracker at about $49 per site and a citations builder at about $35 per location.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Local Dominator is the same pricing model you are trying to escape. Scans consume credits, Lite includes 5,000 a month at $39, and top ups start at $100 for 10,000. What you get for staying with a credit meter is more around the grid: SERP tracking, site audits, GBP posting and review velocity.

5

Semrush Local

Price
Local Base $30, Local Pro $60 per location per month, billed annually
Trial
Seven days, card required
Terms
No minimum term
Where it wins
  • Sits inside a toolset a lot of marketers already have open.
  • Listing management and review tools on the higher tiers.
  • Map rank tracking included as credits.
Where it does not
  • Listing management only arrives on the higher tiers.
  • Rank tracking runs on credits, so heavy scanning costs more than the headline.
  • You are buying into the wider Semrush account model, which is a bigger commitment than a local tool.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Read this one carefully if credits are why you are leaving. Semrush Local meters map rank tracking the same way, with 375 geo grid credits on the $30 Base tier and extra credits at $5 per thousand. It does add profile work and, on Pro at $60, listings and reviews, but the meter comes with you.

6

Whitespark

Price
Rank tracker from $25 a month. Reputation from $79. Managed GBP service $497 a month
Trial
Varies by product
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Genuinely good at citations, which is what they are known for.
  • The rank tracker is inexpensive and covers unlimited domains and locations.
  • Real local SEO expertise behind the products.
Where it does not
  • Separate subscriptions rather than one login, so costs and logins add up as you add jobs.
  • No single place where rank, reviews and profile health sit together.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Whitespark's rank tracker is $25 a month flat and covers unlimited domains and locations, which is the exact opposite of a credit meter. What it does not fix is the stitching. Reputation is a separate $79 product, and there is no single place where rank, reviews and profile health sit together.

7

Uberall

Price
Not published. Quote on request
Trial
No free trial
Terms
Annual agreements
Where it wins
  • Built for large portfolios and wide publisher networks.
  • Strong on listings distribution across many directories at once.
Where it does not
  • A 25 location minimum, so smaller businesses and growing chains cannot buy it at all.
  • No published pricing and no free trial, so evaluating it means booking a sales call first.
  • Add ons for posting, local pages and messages sit outside the base packages.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Going from a $25 credit pack to Uberall is not a step you can take. The 25 location minimum means a single business or a small chain cannot buy it at all, and there is no published price and no free trial, so you cannot find out what you would be paying without a sales call.

8

Birdeye

Price
Not published. Reported at $299 to $449 per location per month
Trial
30 days, but on single modules only, not the platform
Terms
Annual, and it auto renews unless you give 90 days written notice
Where it wins
  • Deep review and messaging feature set, and it is well regarded by the businesses that use it.
  • Wide integration list into CRM and practice management systems.
Where it does not
  • Reported onboarding fees of $500 to $1,500 per location before the platform sends a single review request.
  • A 12 month auto renewing contract with 90 days written notice to cancel.
  • Integration fees of $500 to $2,000 reported for connecting a CRM or POS.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Birdeye answers one half of your problem and not the other. It is a reviews, messaging and listings platform first, so the grid work would still need a home, and it is reported at $299 to $449 per location per month on an annual deal that auto renews unless you give 90 days written notice.

9

Yext

Price
Self serve $199 to $999 per location per year. Larger deals quoted
Trial
No self serve trial on the enterprise path
Terms
Annual billing only, typically 12 or 24 month minimum commitments
Where it wins
  • The widest publisher network in the category.
  • Built for large, complex portfolios with governance requirements.
Where it does not
  • Annual billing only, with 12 to 24 month minimum commitments.
  • Mid market deployments are commonly quoted in the tens of thousands per year.
  • You are largely paying for listings distribution. Rank tracking and review workflow are a different shape of product.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Yext trades one budgeting problem for a much larger one. Instead of buying credits when you scan, you commit annually for 12 to 24 months at $199 to $999 per location per year, and you are paying for listings distribution, so grid tracking would still be a separate bill on top.

10

Moz Local

Price
Lite $20, Preferred $30, Elite $40 per location per month
Trial
No open ended free tier
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 25 percent
Where it wins
  • Simple, cheap and good at the one thing it does.
  • A trusted name with a long history in SEO.
Where it does not
  • Listings focused. It is not a rank tracker, a review workflow or a reporting suite.
  • Extra data aggregators cost more on top, and are limited to the higher tiers.
  • You will usually end up buying something else alongside it.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Moz Local is flat priced and cheap at $20 to $40 per location, so the credit anxiety goes away on day one. But it is a listings tool and openly not a rank tracker, so you would be replacing one single purpose product with another single purpose product and still running two subscriptions.

11

Synup

Price
Solo $49 for one location, Premium $299 to 10, Pro $499 to 25, Scale $899 to 50
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly, or annual at 20 percent off
Where it wins
  • Built with agencies in mind rather than retrofitted for them.
  • Listings distribution and reputation in one place.
Where it does not
  • Two costs rather than one. A base plan and the band your location count falls into on top.
  • The real monthly figure is hard to work out until you know your location count.
  • Demo led rather than something you can just try.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Synup covers listings, reviews and rank tracking with no feature gating between tiers, which is a real answer to the single purpose problem. Be aware the metering follows you though. Agent work runs on credits on top of the band price, and Synup says the work pauses when those credits run out.

12

Localo

Price
Single Business $49 a month, or $39 billed annually. Pro $169, or $149 annually
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, no minimum term
Where it wins
  • Simple and quick to get going with.
  • Priced for a single location rather than an portfolio.
  • Free tools you can try in a browser.
Where it does not
  • Built around a small number of locations, so it stretches at scale.
  • Not the tool for an agency running dozens of client portfolios.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. Localo is a genuinely good landing spot if you have one location. Flat $49 a month, or $39 billed annually, with an adjustable geo grid and an area difficulty overlay, so you keep the scanning and stop counting credits. The gap hurts at two locations though, where the next plan up is $149 to $169.

13

SearchAtlas

Price
Starter $99, Growth $199, Pro $399, Agency $999 a month
Trial
Seven days
Terms
Month to month
Where it wins
  • Covers general SEO as well as local, so it replaces more than one tool.
  • Seats and projects included rather than charged per location.
Where it does not
  • Priced by seats and projects, so a multi location local job is not what the pricing is shaped around.
  • Local is one part of a much wider product, and depth varies.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. SearchAtlas would cover far more than grid scanning, including general SEO, but the pricing gets harder to predict rather than easier. Plan tiers, per site rates and metered top ups run alongside each other, GBP automations are capped at three a month on the $99 Starter, and heatmap scans are metered too.

14

GMBapi

Price
$16 per location at one location, falling to $4.50 each at 201 and above
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period
Where it wins
  • Genuinely cheap per location at scale.
  • A two week free trial and a free version.
  • Setup and support included.
Where it does not
  • Focused on GBP management and reporting rather than the whole local SEO job.
  • Pricing is built around large portfolios, so the value case is weaker at a handful of locations.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. GMBapi is flat per location at $16 for one, with no credits to count, and it adds the bulk profile management Local Falcon never did. Read the cancellation terms before you move though. The vendor's own FAQ says you can cancel only after your third month and with a month of notice.

15

RightChoice.AI

Price
Solo $20 and Business $30 a month. Agency is $6 per profile
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, two months free on annual
Where it wins
  • AI led approach to local SEO and profile work.
  • Newer product, so it is built around how search works now.
Where it does not
  • No published pricing at the time of writing, so comparing cost means asking.
  • Less independent review history than the established names.

If you are leaving Local Falcon. RightChoice bundles geo grid scanning into its base plans, so at $20 a month for up to two profiles you keep the heat map and pick up review and listing work as well. The scan allowance is tight at that price, roughly 15 to 20 grid scans, and prices are geo detected, so confirm the currency at checkout.

Where GMBAudit fits, and where it does not

A grid scan tells you where you are weak. It does not fix the profile, chase the review or write the report, and those were the jobs left over.

So it is one plan with all 42 tools on it and no feature held back for a higher tier. One location is $16 a month, two to seven locations is a flat $37 however many you add inside that range, and from eight it is $5.33 each. Three day free trial, no card, no contract.

For the jobs people are usually comparing here, that means grid rank tracking, service area rank tracking and profile scoring sit on the same plan, rather than across three subscriptions or three tiers.

Where it is not the answer
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

Four questions worth asking before you switch

With a credit model the fourth question is the sharp one, because the bill moves with how much you scan. Our own answers are on the pricing page.

  1. What is on the plan you can actually afford?

Not what is on the website. Open the pricing page and check which tier holds the feature you are buying this for. In this category it is often not the entry one.

  2. What is the minimum, and the notice period?

A minimum location count decides whether you can buy at all. A notice period decides how long a bad decision lasts.

  3. Can you try it before you commit?

A trial answers the only question that matters, which is whether your team will use it after month two. A demo does not.

  4. What will it cost at the size you are growing into?

Per location pricing compounds. Work out the figure at double your current locations before you sign anything.

Local Falcon questions

How much does Local Falcon cost?

Credit packages run from about $24.99 to $199.99 a month, covering roughly 7,500 to 63,000 credits. Grid scans consume credits, so the real cost depends on how much you scan.

Is Local Falcon worth it?

For geo grid reporting, it is excellent and it is the thing they focus on entirely. The question is whether you want to buy that separately from everything else.

What is the best Local Falcon alternative?

If you want grid scanning plus the rest of the job on one plan, Local SEO Tool includes both at $5.33 per location per month with no credit metering. Local Viking is closer in spirit if you want grid plus posting cheaply.

Does Local Falcon manage my profile?

No. It measures rank across a grid. Profile edits, review replies and listings all happen elsewhere.

Are credit based tools cheaper?

They start cheaper and stop being cheaper as you scan more. If your scanning is occasional, credits win. If it is routine across several locations, a flat per location price is easier to predict.

All 42 tools. One plan. No contract.

$16 at 1 location, flat $37 for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8, with a three day free trial and nothing held back for a higher tier.
