An independent look at GMBapi: what it does, what it costs, what users actually rate it, and how it compares with GMBAudit.

Pricing checked August 2026 against the vendor’s own page where it publishes one.

Quick verdict

Bulk operations priced low at volume. Not truly month to month.

Buy this if you run a large portfolio and the job is keeping profile data correct in bulk. Published per location bands fall from $16 at one location to $4.50 at 201 or more, users are unlimited, and API and MCP access sit in the base plan rather than a top tier. The trade is the commitment. The vendor lets you cancel only after your third month with a month of notice, so plan on about four months.

What is GMBapi?

GMBapi is a Google Business Profile management and reporting platform priced per location, with the rate falling as the portfolio grows.

It is built for organizations with a lot of locations that need profiles maintained and reported on efficiently, rather than for agencies doing full local SEO.

The two week trial needs no credit card, which makes it unusually easy to evaluate compared with the enterprise end of this market.

Our rating: 3.9 out of 5

Strong at bulk execution across large portfolios. It assumes you already know what to change, and no ratings could be confirmed.

Our own assessment, not an average of user reviews. Scored on price transparency, minimums, how much of the job one purchase covers, and how easily you can leave.

GMBapi features

Every feature below, and what it actually does rather than what the marketing calls it.

Bulk profile management

GMBapi is built around doing things to many profiles at once. Where most tools present one profile at a time, this one starts from the list and applies changes across it.

That shape suits a particular buyer. If you manage dozens or hundreds of locations, the bottleneck is not knowing what to change, it is applying a change without spending a day on it. This is the tool for that problem rather than for deciding what the change should be.

The trade off is that it assumes you already know. There is little here that tells you which locations need attention, which is a different job that measurement tools do.

Best for: Large portfolios where the work is execution rather than diagnosis

Bulk updates

Hours, attributes, descriptions and other fields changed across a selection of locations in one action, rather than profile by profile.

The value is that the job actually finishes. Editing forty profiles by hand reliably stops somewhere in the middle, and the branches left behind are invisible until a customer arrives at a closed door.

Holiday hours are the case where this pays for itself. Applied late or partially, they produce exactly the kind of complaint that becomes a one star review about being misled.

Best for: Portfolios applying the same change everywhere, especially seasonal hours

Posting

Google posts published across locations from one place, which at portfolio scale is the difference between posting happening and posting being planned.

Three channels and twenty branches is sixty posts by hand. That multiplication is why posting stops at scale, and why bulk publishing is a genuine operational feature rather than a convenience.

Best for: Portfolios where per branch posting has quietly stopped

User management

Roles and access across a team, so who can change what is defined rather than assumed.

At portfolio scale this is the feature that matters most and demos worst. When two hundred people can technically edit a listing, the question stops being how to make a change and becomes who is allowed to.

Best for: Organizations that need an answer to who changed this and when

Reporting, setup and support

Reporting across the portfolio, with setup and support included rather than sold as an add on.

Included onboarding is worth weighing. API led tools carry more setup cost than their pricing suggests, and a platform that absorbs that is making a real commitment rather than a discount.

Best for: Teams without the internal capacity to run an integration themselves

GMBapi pros and cons

Pros
  • Published six band rate card, from $16 at one location down to $4.50 at 201 or more, with no sales call.
  • Unlimited users at no extra cost, so the bill moves with your location count and never with your headcount.
  • API access and an MCP server sit in the base Essential plan rather than being held back for the enterprise tier.
  • Bulk work runs deeper than posting, including bulk profile verification, deleted review monitoring and an automated review reply agent.
Cons
  • Cancellation opens only after your third month and needs a month of notice, so the real commitment is about four months.
  • Citations is a separate add on that costs $30 per location at a single location, roughly tripling a small portfolio's bill.
  • White label reporting, sub brand dashboards and dedicated agency support sit on the quoted custom tier, not in either published plan.
  • Rates are localized by region and currency, with separate citation prices for the US, for India and Indonesia, and for everywhere else.

We could not confirm a rating on any of the four platforms. For a product aimed at large portfolios that is not unusual, since those buyers rarely leave public software reviews. Use the two week trial, which is the better evidence here anyway.

How GMBAudit compares

GMBapi is genuinely cheaper past two hundred locations, and you cannot leave until month four. We cost more at that scale and you can cancel any month.

All 42 tools sit on the single plan, priced per location rather than per seat, and the numbers are on the pricing page rather than behind a call. The tools page lists every one.

Where we are not the answer
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

GMBapi FAQs

When am I actually allowed to cancel GMBapi?

The vendor's FAQ says you can cancel any time after your third month, with a minimum of one month's notice, unless something else is agreed. In practice that means budgeting for about four months from signup, so treat the first quarter as committed rather than as a trial period.

Do I need the Citations add on, or is Essential enough?

Essential covers profile management, bulk work, rank and competitor tracking and reporting. Citations is what pushes your profile data out to 100+ directories, navigation apps, Apple Maps, social platforms and LLMs. It costs $30 per location on top of $16 at a single location, so a small portfolio pays about triple.

I have 12 locations. Which price band is that?

The table steps at 1, 2 to 10, 11 to 50, 51 to 100, 101 to 200 and 201 or more, so 12 locations sits at $11.50 each, or $138 a month. The low end is flat, though: five locations is $14 each, where Local SEO Tool is a flat $37 for two to seven.

Can I white label GMBapi for my clients?

Not on the published plans. White label reporting, sub brand dashboard consolidation and dedicated agency support are all shown as Talk to us items on the custom tier, alongside Apple Maps posting and Reserve with Google. If client branded reporting is central to your work, get that quoted before you commit.

Can I run a full bulk update across my locations during the free trial?

The trial is two weeks with no credit card and gives full feature access, but the plan comparison table marks bulk posting and bulk profile editing as available once during the trial rather than unlimited. So you can see the bulk workflow work end to end, but not rehearse a month of it.

All 42 tools. One plan. No contract.

One location is $16 a month, two to seven is a flat $37, and from eight it is $5.33 each. Three day free trial.
