15 Best GMBapi Alternatives

GMBapi is cheap per location at scale but covers profile management and reporting only. 15 alternatives compared.

GMBapi publishes a full six band price table in dollars, so the figures below are its own. Checked August 2026.

Short answer

GMBapi is genuinely cheap per location once you have a large portfolio, and it comes with a free version and a two week trial. The reason people look elsewhere is scope. It handles Google Business Profile management and reporting. Rank tracking, review workflow, citations and location pages are a different product.

Why businesses look for GMBapi alternatives

  1. Profile management and reporting only

That is the product. Everything else in the local SEO job sits outside it.

  2. The value case needs scale

Pricing rewards large portfolios. At a handful of locations the per location saving is small in absolute terms.

  3. No rank measurement

You can manage profiles beautifully and still have no idea whether it moved your position.

  4. Reviews are elsewhere

Collecting, monitoring and replying to reviews is one of the biggest jobs in local SEO and is not what this is for.

What GMBapi is genuinely good at

GMBapi is genuinely cheap at scale and includes unlimited users, which most of this list charges for. Start there.

  • Genuinely cheap per location at scale.
  • A two week free trial and a free version.
  • Setup and support included.

If those are the things you need most, GMBapi may well be the right answer and you can stop reading here.

Compare the trial and the exit terms alongside the price. GMBapi is inexpensive, and the cost of leaving is where it gets interesting.

1

Local SEO Tool

This is us
Price
$16 at 1 location, flat $37 for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8
Trial
Three day free trial
Terms
No contract, cancel any month
Where it wins
  • All 42 tools on the single plan. Nothing sits behind a higher tier.
  • Priced per location only. Adding your team costs nothing.
  • Starts at one location, with no minimum location count.
Where it does not
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Our entry price matches the $16 you were paying, and all 42 tools sit on the single plan, so nothing stacks on top the way that add on did. No contract, no notice month. Be fair to GMBapi though: above roughly 200 locations their $4.50 beats our $5.33, and their trial is fourteen days to our three.

2

Moz Local

Price
Lite $20, Preferred $30, Elite $40 per location per month
Trial
No open ended free tier
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 25 percent
Where it wins
  • Simple, cheap and good at the one thing it does.
  • A trusted name with a long history in SEO.
Where it does not
  • Listings focused. It is not a rank tracker, a review workflow or a reporting suite.
  • Extra data aggregators cost more on top, and are limited to the higher tiers.
  • You will usually end up buying something else alongside it.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Closest match on the specific complaint. Moz Local sells citations as the plan itself, from $20 per location, so the distribution costs less than the $30 add on you were paying for. What it will not do is the GBP bulk posting and reporting you got for $16, so budget for a second tool.

3

Uberall

Price
Not published. Quote on request
Trial
No free trial
Terms
Annual agreements
Where it wins
  • Built for large portfolios and wide publisher networks.
  • Strong on listings distribution across many directories at once.
Where it does not
  • A 25 location minimum, so smaller businesses and growing chains cannot buy it at all.
  • No published pricing and no free trial, so evaluating it means booking a sales call first.
  • Add ons for posting, local pages and messages sit outside the base packages.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Listings are the whole product here rather than a bolt on, which fixes the thing that annoyed you. The terms do not. Uberall runs annual agreements and needs 25 locations minimum, with no published price and no trial, so you would trade a four month commitment for a year and a sales call.

4

Yext

Price
Self serve $199 to $999 per location per year. Larger deals quoted
Trial
No self serve trial on the enterprise path
Terms
Annual billing only, typically 12 or 24 month minimum commitments
Where it wins
  • The widest publisher network in the category.
  • Built for large, complex portfolios with governance requirements.
Where it does not
  • Annual billing only, with 12 to 24 month minimum commitments.
  • Mid market deployments are commonly quoted in the tens of thousands per year.
  • You are largely paying for listings distribution. Rank tracking and review workflow are a different shape of product.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Yext is the opposite trade. Listings distribution is the product itself, not an add on, and the publisher network is the widest in the category. But billing is annual only with 12 to 24 month minimum commitments, so a buyer who bristled at four months and a notice letter will find the paperwork much heavier here.

5

BrightLocal

Price
Track $39, Manage $49, Grow $59 per location per month
Trial
14 day free trial, no card required
Terms
Monthly or annual, annual saves up to about 26 percent
Where it wins
  • Long established, widely used, and a lot of people already know how it works.
  • A genuine free trial with no card, which most of this category does not offer.
  • Strong citation and audit tooling.
Where it does not
  • Features are split across tiers. Listings sync starts at Manage and review management only arrives on Grow.
  • That means the tools most local businesses actually want tend to sit on the most expensive plan.
  • Cost climbs with location count. Grow at 50 locations is listed at $449 a month.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Citations come with the plan here instead of sitting on top of it, though you have to buy the right one: listings sync starts at Manage, $49 per location. That is close to the $46 you paid at one location with the add on, and billing is monthly with no notice period.

6

Synup

Price
Solo $49 for one location, Premium $299 to 10, Pro $499 to 25, Scale $899 to 50
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly, or annual at 20 percent off
Where it wins
  • Built with agencies in mind rather than retrofitted for them.
  • Listings distribution and reputation in one place.
Where it does not
  • Two costs rather than one. A base plan and the band your location count falls into on top.
  • The real monthly figure is hard to work out until you know your location count.
  • Demo led rather than something you can just try.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Syndication to 100 plus directories is included on every plan rather than bolted on, and plans are monthly, so you can leave at the end of a billing period. Two catches: the bands jump hard, one location is $49 but two is $299, and agent work is metered in credits on top of the band.

7

Birdeye

Price
Not published. Reported at $299 to $449 per location per month
Trial
30 days, but on single modules only, not the platform
Terms
Annual, and it auto renews unless you give 90 days written notice
Where it wins
  • Deep review and messaging feature set, and it is well regarded by the businesses that use it.
  • Wide integration list into CRM and practice management systems.
Where it does not
  • Reported onboarding fees of $500 to $1,500 per location before the platform sends a single review request.
  • A 12 month auto renewing contract with 90 days written notice to cancel.
  • Integration fees of $500 to $2,000 reported for connecting a CRM or POS.

If you are leaving GMBapi. If a month's notice felt tight, read Birdeye's terms first. Agreements are annual and auto renew unless written notice arrives at least 90 days before the renewal date. Listings sync is part of the platform rather than an add on, but the reported price of $299 and up per location is a different league.

8

Whitespark

Price
Rank tracker from $25 a month. Reputation from $79. Managed GBP service $497 a month
Trial
Varies by product
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Genuinely good at citations, which is what they are known for.
  • The rank tracker is inexpensive and covers unlimited domains and locations.
  • Real local SEO expertise behind the products.
Where it does not
  • Separate subscriptions rather than one login, so costs and logins add up as you add jobs.
  • No single place where rank, reviews and profile health sit together.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Whitespark is genuinely the citations specialist, so the temptation is real, but the shape repeats your problem. Their Yext replacement runs $349 per location and the rank tracker is a separate $25 subscription. Terms are monthly, though, so nothing holds you past the month you stop paying.

9

Local Falcon

Price
Credit packages from about $25 to $200 a month
Trial
Credit based, so you can start small
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • The geo grid reporting is excellent and it is what they focus on entirely.
  • Credits mean you can start very cheaply if you scan occasionally.
Where it does not
  • Grid tracking only. No profile management, no review workflow, no listings.
  • Credits mean the cost scales with how much you scan, which is hard to budget when scanning grows.
  • You will need other tools alongside it to do the rest of the job.

If you are leaving GMBapi. No citations here at all, so the add on problem disappears by subtraction rather than being solved. Local Falcon does grid scanning and stops. Packages run about $25 to $200 a month and are credit based, so your bill moves with how much you scan. Monthly, with nothing to give notice on.

10

Semrush Local

Price
Local Base $30, Local Pro $60 per location per month, billed annually
Trial
Seven days, card required
Terms
No minimum term
Where it wins
  • Sits inside a toolset a lot of marketers already have open.
  • Listing management and review tools on the higher tiers.
  • Map rank tracking included as credits.
Where it does not
  • Listing management only arrives on the higher tiers.
  • Rank tracking runs on credits, so heavy scanning costs more than the headline.
  • You are buying into the wider Semrush account model, which is a bigger commitment than a local tool.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Same split, different label. Listing management sits on Local Pro at $60 per location, double the $30 Base tier, so the citations premium follows you. Worth knowing before you commit anywhere: Semrush documents that after you cancel, your listing data stays in the directories and drifts back over time.

11

Localo

Price
Single Business $49 a month, or $39 billed annually. Pro $169, or $149 annually
Trial
14 days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, no minimum term
Where it wins
  • Simple and quick to get going with.
  • Priced for a single location rather than an portfolio.
  • Free tools you can try in a browser.
Where it does not
  • Built around a small number of locations, so it stretches at scale.
  • Not the tool for an agency running dozens of client portfolios.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Cancel anytime is stated plainly and there is a 14 day trial with no card, which is the cleanest answer to the notice period. Citation listings are in the plan at $49 a month for one profile, though submissions are reported to still need confirming directory by directory. Two to five locations pay full Pro pricing at $169.

12

Local Viking

Price
Single $39, Starter $59, Pro $99, Agency $149, Enterprise $200 a month by listing count
Trial
No free trial advertised
Terms
Monthly
Where it wins
  • Geo grid tracking and GBP posting together at a low price.
  • White label reporting on the higher tiers.
  • Straightforward pricing by listing count.
Where it does not
  • Credits for keywords and grid scans cap how much you can actually run.
  • No free tier, so you commit before you try it.
  • Narrower than a full local SEO platform.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Local Viking has no citation building at all, so there is no add on to resent and no directory work either. Billing is monthly, and bulk GBP posting is the closest match to what you had. Two warnings: no free trial, and the pricing page now redirects to a Local Optics brand.

13

SearchAtlas

Price
Starter $99, Growth $199, Pro $399, Agency $999 a month
Trial
Seven days
Terms
Month to month
Where it wins
  • Covers general SEO as well as local, so it replaces more than one tool.
  • Seats and projects included rather than charged per location.
Where it does not
  • Priced by seats and projects, so a multi location local job is not what the pricing is shaped around.
  • Local is one part of a much wider product, and depth varies.

If you are leaving GMBapi. SearchAtlas puts citation submissions inside the subscription, and its pricing page shows month to month only. The catch is metering of a different kind: GBP automations are capped at three a month on the $99 Starter plan, and AI credits top up at $19 per 500 points once a quota runs dry.

14

Local Dominator

Price
Lite $39, Advance $59, Pro $97, Powerhouse $197, Enterprise $399 a month, credit metered
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual
Where it wins
  • White label reporting on every tier, which most competitors reserve for higher plans.
  • Low entry price.
Where it does not
  • Credit based, so the sticker price is not what heavy scanning actually costs.
  • Add ons on top. An AI tracker at about $49 per site and a citations builder at about $35 per location.

If you are leaving GMBapi. Read this one carefully, because it repeats your exact complaint. The Citations Builder is a $35 a month add on stacked on a core plan that starts at $39, and plans are credit metered so scanning eats into the headline price. Cancel anytime is published, at least, and the trial is seven days without a card.

15

RightChoice.AI

Price
Solo $20 and Business $30 a month. Agency is $6 per profile
Trial
Seven days, no card
Terms
Monthly or annual, two months free on annual
Where it wins
  • AI led approach to local SEO and profile work.
  • Newer product, so it is built around how search works now.
Where it does not
  • No published pricing at the time of writing, so comparing cost means asking.
  • Less independent review history than the established names.

If you are leaving GMBapi. The closest price match, and the terms are clean: monthly, cancel with no fee, no minimum. Listings are included rather than sold on top, but the network is advertised as Bing and 20 plus directories, which is far narrower than what your add on was buying. AI content runs on a credit balance, so that part meters.

Where GMBAudit fits, and where it does not

A citations add on that costs more than the plan it sits on is not really an add on. Neither is a monthly plan you cannot leave until month four.

So it is one plan with all 42 tools on it and no feature held back for a higher tier. One location is $16 a month, two to seven locations is a flat $37 however many you add inside that range, and from eight it is $5.33 each. Three day free trial, no card, no contract.

For the jobs people are usually comparing here, that means managing every profile in one place, grid rank tracking and one review inbox sit on the same plan, rather than across three subscriptions or three tiers.

Where it is not the answer
  • Newer than the names below, so there is less third party review history to read.
  • Not an enterprise procurement product. If you need a named account manager and a signed MSA, the enterprise vendors are built for that and we are not.

Four questions worth asking before you switch

Question two is the one that bites here, because the notice period is buried in a FAQ rather than the pricing page. Our own answers are on the pricing page.

  1. What is on the plan you can actually afford?

Not what is on the website. Open the pricing page and check which tier holds the feature you are buying this for. In this category it is often not the entry one.

  2. What is the minimum, and the notice period?

A minimum location count decides whether you can buy at all. A notice period decides how long a bad decision lasts.

  3. Can you try it before you commit?

A trial answers the only question that matters, which is whether your team will use it after month two. A demo does not.

  4. What will it cost at the size you are growing into?

Per location pricing compounds. Work out the figure at double your current locations before you sign anything.

GMBapi questions

How much is GMBapi?

From $16 per location at one location down to $4.50 at 201 and above depending on portfolio size, cheaper as the number of locations rises. There is a free version and a two week trial.

Is GMBapi good value?

At scale it is one of the cheapest ways to manage Google Business Profiles per location. The trade is scope rather than quality.

Does it track rankings?

No. It manages profiles and reports on them. Rank measurement needs a separate tool.

What is the best GMBapi alternative?

Local SEO Tool at $5.33 per location per month covers profile management plus rank tracking, reviews, citations and reporting on one plan.

Is a cheap per location price the whole picture?

Only if the scope matches. Two tools at four euro each is not cheaper than one at five that does both.

All 42 tools. One plan. No contract.

$16 at 1 location, flat $37 for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8, with a three day free trial and nothing held back for a higher tier.
