What this tool does
A review link is fine in a text message and useless on a printed receipt. The customer has to type it, or search your name and pick you out of three similar businesses, and a good number of them give up somewhere in the middle.
A code removes those steps. Point the camera, land in the review box. The willingness you earned by asking in person survives the journey to the phone, which is where most review requests quietly die.

Questions
Do QR codes expire?
The code holds a URL, so it works as long as that URL does. A Google review link does not change unless the profile is recreated.
Where should I put them?
Wherever the customer says yes. Counter, receipt, invoice, van door. Placement matters more than the design.
Can I offer a discount for scanning?
No. That makes it an incentivised review, which breaks Google rules and can cost you the reviews you already have.
